LONDI HLELA - Chief Executive Officer (41)
Londi has a Bachelor of Political Science degree from the University of Southern Africa and a Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators diploma. Londi was employed by the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) in 1996 - 1997 as a Researcher. Londi was involved in the research on how to improve the education system in SA in conjunction with the then National Training Board (NTB). The project was co-sponsored by the GTZ and the main aim of the project was to develop an educational system that will enhance SA's economic competitiveness in the world arena hence the outcome based educational system, setting up of the National Standard Board, SETA's etc were some of the recommendations made after the research findings were published. In 1997 - 2008 Londi joined the Department of Foreign Affairs as a career diplomat. In 2000 - 2004 he was posted to Zimbabwe as Counsellor. Among his chief duties was to monitor political developments in that country and promote both economic and political relations between SA and Zimbabwe. In 2004 - 2007 Londi was transferred to Zambia, Lusaka as Counsellor as his diplomatic designation. While in Lusaka he was involved in promotion of trade between SA and Zambia and contributed in enhancing good relations that exist between the two countries. He left the diplomatic services to spearhead Nooa operations as an Executive Chairman.
RATHA KRISHNAN NAYAGER - Chief Financial Officer (51)
Ratha was a partner at Ernst & Young from 2001 to August 2006. His role in the firm was Industry Leader, Public Sector. He was also a member of the firm's Executive Committee. His responsibilities included initiating discussions with key decision-makers in the public sector with a view to creating revenue opportunities for the firm, monitoring service quality and client satisfaction, ensuring that Ernst & Young provides a multi-disciplinary approach through the effective utilisation of skills and resources, developing the overall business strategy of the company, access to extensive networks to facilitate business development and growth and expertise in developing the company profile and its strategy to exploit BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) opportunities.
Since 1998 he was the Provincial Auditor of Gauteng where he was responsible for the overall performance of the Gauteng Province on behalf of the Auditor-General where his duties included overseeing the auditing of 15 provincial departments, 35 local governments and 15 public entities. He interacted regularly with all his clients that comprised key decision-makers in the province such as the Premier, all MEC's, CEO's, CFO's and HOD's. At National level he represented the Auditor-General at various meetings and presentations that included commissions of enquiry, special investigations, Commonwealth Conferences, AFROSAI Conferences and various other conferences abroad.
Ratha is currently a member of the Audit Committee of the National Lotteries Board and has been so since 2002. He is a member of PAAB, SAICA, ABASA, IMFO and IPFA.His core competencies and value add are strategic enablement, competitive strategy, securing of finance, project management and change management. ALEXANDER GONESE - Chief Risk Officer (31)
Alexander holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Finance from National University of Science and Technology (NUST) Zimbabwe. He has eight years experience in corporate finance, investment analysis, risk management and portfolio management. Alexander started his financial career as a Corporate Finance Analyst at TN Financial Services before joining Colossal Financial Holdings as Head of Corporate Finance a position he held for two years. Alexander left Colossal in 2006 to rejoin TN Financial Holdings as Head of Equities. Alexander gained invaluable experience in risk management and structured finance as Risk and Investment Manager at Kingdom Bank Africa Limited a position he held until joining NOOA Petroleum as Chief Risk Officer.
